A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FOREIGN TRADE OF RUSSIA AND CHINA

Background. The relevance of the topic of the article is due to the fact that, despite the high rates of development of Russian-Chinese relations, the potential of economic cooperation between the two countries is not fully used. The purpose of the work is to analyze the foreign trade of Russia and China in order to determine the directions, problems and prospects for the development of economic relations between these countries.
Materials and methods. The realization of the research goal was achieved through a comparative analysis of the foreign trade of Russia and China in order to determine the state of foreign trade; directions, problems and prospects for the development of economic relations between the two countries. The methodological potential of the research included comparative and statistical analyses.
Results. The work has reviewed the dynamics, commodity and country structure of foreign trade of Russia and China, as well as revealed the state of foreign trade of Russia and China, identified areas, problems and prospects for the development of economic relations between the two countries.
Conclusions. The study reveals a huge potential of foreign trade of Russia and China, especially in the Far East, which has a way to reduce barriers to trade, increase investment in joint projects, support tourism, and expand cooperation in the field of media content.
